The GBS girls loving Tokio. |
This is how much we love Tokio. Since my last review, we've gone back time and time again and tried out new stuff. And we never tire. Tokio is where we hang out when we have a 3 pm lecture or faculty meeting (as oppose to a 2 pm one, cause that would only mean mamak or CFC). You seriously can't rush a Tokio lunch. It is hanging out, catching up, brainstorming and free advice session at its very best. So anybody in need of any counseling can join us. Usually we're at the corner table. Females only for now please. We can't handle male problems.
Service is awesome, fast and furious! Furious because one or two of the regular waiters has an angry look on his face, but no problem bro. We understand serving people food isn't exactly a guy thing.
Recommended! Green Cheesy Pesto Chicken Rice! |
Recommended too! Red Cheesy Chicken Rice! |
As you can see, we've come back for the green-pesto rice I raved about last time. And, we've also tried out a few other different dishes. The cheesy rice dishes are the best to date. Who would have thought cheese would go so well with rice right? Rather incomprehensible! It brings a whole new meaning to the phrase:
before you make up your mind, open it!
(clapping and whistling in background, I know)
Sheemza! |
Miza!! |
Japanese Ramen. (Go for Maggie mee though! cheaper and better :) |
Machiatto. Miza's crazy over it! |
Chocolate cake :: DIVINE. Go for it! |
Hazelnut latte. Remember to stir! Sugar's at the bottom! A++ |
Cheesy veggie bread. Awesome for tea. A+ |
Something-atto..another one of Miza's break coffee. A++ |
Red velvet muffin. Nice :) But buy one of kak Lin's. She makes awesome ones.. |
Nadia and Miza in the heat of discussion.. |
I hereby declare Tokio as the GBS girls official hang-out place until we come across a better, younger, hotter place to drop by. Essentially if we're not in the office at 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm, we're no longer at Secret Recipe. Wishing all my cheerful readers a good weekend and to be well. I have a 5:30 pm lecture I have to run to. Until the next review, insya'Allah, bye-bye and Assalamua'alaikum!
